What we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, login credentials, shipping details, and messages sent through support or waitlist forms. When you use personalisation features, we may also collect style preferences, colour analysis inputs, fit or product interests, and preference signals you share through conversational shopping flows.

We also collect limited behavioural information within the platform, such as the products you view, save, click, or add to cart, along with device and browser information needed to keep the service secure and functional.

How we use your information

We use personal information to personalise recommendations, generate product and outfit suggestions, power colour analysis features, process owned-inventory orders, provide customer support, improve product discovery, and maintain the safety and reliability of the service.

Where you make a purchase directly through Mercador, we use your details to manage checkout, payment confirmation, fulfillment communication, and order tracking.

Third-party services and sharing

Mercador may share limited information with service providers and partners that help us operate the platform. This can include affiliate partners for purchase attribution and tracking, Stripe for payment processing, analytics providers, hosting providers, and fulfillment or shipping partners for owned-inventory orders.

We do not sell your personal information. We only share information where it is necessary to provide the service, measure performance, process a transaction, or comply with legal obligations.

Optional selfie colour suggestions

If you choose this feature and confirm consent, we send your selected photo through Mercador to Google Cloud Vertex AI to assess image quality and the colours visible in the photo. Processing currently uses a United States endpoint. This feature is for adults using their own photo. You can instead browse the colour guides without uploading a selfie.

We resize the photo and remove embedded metadata before sending it to Google. Mercador does not save the analysis photo or result to its database or request logs. The app holds the result temporarily for the current analysis session. Selecting or taking a photo can create a temporary copy on your device; that copy may remain in the app cache until the app or operating system removes it. We retain account-linked usage counters to enforce limits. A photo you choose from your library remains in your library.

Google processes the photo under its cloud service terms and may retain data for safety monitoring or temporary caching. We do not promise zero provider retention. Read Google Cloud's data governance information. The feature suggests clothing colours from the image; it does not identify you or make medical or other sensitive personal assessments. Lighting, cameras and filters can affect results, and an unsuitable or ambiguous photo may receive no palette suggestion.

Cookies, local storage, and preferences

We use cookies and local storage to remember user preferences, preserve cart state, support login sessions, improve site performance, and understand how people use Mercador. Some of these technologies are essential to site functionality, while others help us improve relevance and user experience.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, ask us to correct inaccurate information, request deletion of certain data, or object to some uses of your information. We will respond in line with our legal obligations and the nature of the request.
